The Spanish Public Prosecutor's Office has opened an official investigation into singing legend "Julio Iglesias" (82 years old), following criminal charges related to sexual assault and human trafficking. This judicial move came after a complaint filed by two former employees before the National Court in Madrid, supported by journalistic investigations that revealed serious violations that occurred within the world artist's palaces in the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas.
The case dates back to 2021, where the complainants revealed their exposure to degrading practices that included "inappropriate touching and humiliation" under the weight of constant harassment. One of the victims (22 years old at the time) confirmed that Iglesias exploited his influence to force her into systematic forced sexual practices throughout her work within his household staff, in an atmosphere characterized by absolute control and threat. The accusations were not limited to physical assault, but also included the creation of a "toxic" work environment that forced employees to reveal their charms and answer humiliating intimate questions. The case file is based on an arsenal of evidence, including call recordings, "WhatsApp" messages, medical reports, in addition to the testimonies of 15 former employees who agreed on the existence of a continuous pattern of violation of workers' rights in the environment of the Spanish star.
