The Board of Directors of the "Al Mada" Group, which met today, Friday, announced the appointment of Nafisa Kassar to the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Group, with immediate effect, succeeding the late Hassan El Warya.
A statement from the "Al Mada" Group stated that "following the death of Hassan El Warya, the CEO of the "Al Mada" Group, the Group's Board of Directors met today and honored the deceased with the respect he deserved, praising his leadership and many achievements, and his ideal dedication to serving the Group, which left a lasting mark on its history and contributed significantly to strengthening its position on the national and African economy." The Al Mada Group extends its sincere condolences and expressions of sympathy to the family of the deceased Hassan El Warya, and to all the Group's employees, sharing their heartbreak in these difficult moments. This appointment comes in the context of Al Mada's commitment to innovation, sustainable development, and operational efficiency. Nafisa Kassar has accumulated significant experience within the Group, as she began her career in the Group's bank, before joining the Al Mada holding company to hold the position of Deputy General Manager, where she contributed effectively to strategic projects and the development of the Group. Nafisa Kassar, who is a graduate of the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne (Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne), spent most of her career within the Group, starting with "Attijariwafa Bank", where she participated in the establishment of "Attijari Finance Group", before joining the holding company. Nafisa Kassar also serves as a member of the Board of Directors in a number of branches of the "Al Mada" Group. The statement concluded that under the supervision of Nafisa Kassar, the Al Mada Group will continue its current development and enhance the innovation system and its contribution to the economic and social progress of the Kingdom of Morocco and internationally, "within the framework of its commitment to the values and principles established by the shareholders of the Al Mada Group."
