The General Directorate of Meteorology expects, for today, Sunday, that the weather in general will be characterized by rainy weather and accompanied by sometimes thunderstorms in a number of regions of the country, including the northern and central plains, the Souss region, the Rif, the Saiss, the phosphate plateaus, the Walmas, the Mediterranean coast, the Atlas Mountains and its western plains.
Heavy snowfall will also be observed locally over the Atlas Mountains, the Rif, and the Eastern High Plateaus. The sky will be cloudy and rainy in the eastern region, the Saharan provinces of the Kingdom, as well as in the south-eastern regions. The weather is expected to remain cold in the Atlas Mountains, the Rif, the south-east and the high plateaus. With the registration of somewhat strong to locally strong wind gusts in the central regions, the Atlas Mountains, the southern provinces and the northern plains. Minimum temperatures will range between minus 08 and minus 02 degrees in the Atlas Mountains, and between minus 02 and 03 degrees in both the Rif and the south-east of the country and the Eastern High Plateaus, and between 07 and 12 degrees near the coasts, and will be between 03 and 07 degrees in the rest of the Kingdom. Daytime temperatures will be dropping. The sea will be calm to slightly agitated on the Mediterranean front and slightly agitated to rough in the Strait of Gibraltar, and strong to very rough between Jorf and Tarfaya, and rough to rough on the rest of the other coasts.
