Elements of the judicial police department in the city of Beni Mellal managed, on Saturday, January 17, to arrest a 32-year-old person with a criminal record, on suspicion of his involvement in assaulting a police officer with a white weapon while he was performing his duties in traffic and traffic organization.
The police officer, who holds the rank of security officer, was working to regulate traffic in the center of the city of Beni Mellal, accompanied by a security guard from the traffic and traffic department, where a motorcycle driver was directed to stop after he was caught driving a motorcycle that did not have a license plate and without using a protective helmet, and it was also found through the inspection that the motorcycle does not have any legal documents. During the road inspection procedures, the suspected motorcycle driver refused to comply with the police officers and created chaos in the public street, before using a white weapon to inflict a wound on the security officer's face. The injured policeman was referred to the local hospital where he received the necessary first aid, while police patrols initiated intensive security operations that enabled, at first, the identification of the suspect before his arrest shortly after the commission of these criminal acts. The suspect has been subjected to a judicial investigation, which is being conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecution, to reveal all the circumstances and details of this case, as well as to determine the real backgrounds behind the commission of these criminal acts.
