Beni Mellal: A bus carrying passengers overturns, killing one and injuring another

Well-informed sources revealed to Heba Press that a traffic accident occurred this Tuesday, July 16 in the evening, leaving one dead and 51 others injured, including 15 of varying severity, 10 km from the center of Oulad Yaich in the direction of Tadla.

The same sources explained that the accident occurred after a passenger bus, with 52 passengers on board, overturned after colliding with a light car.

The same source added that as soon as they were informed of the incident, local authorities as well as the services of the Royal Gendarmerie and Civil Protection went to the scene to take the necessary measures. The injured were transferred to the regional hospital of Beni Mellal and the local hospital of Tadla to receive the necessary assistance and follow the necessary care.

He stressed that a judicial investigation had been opened by the Royal Gendarmerie, under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office, to determine all the circumstances of this incident.
