Within the framework of the continuous efforts to alleviate the effects of the weather fluctuations witnessed in the Midelt province, especially the severe cold wave accompanied by rainfall and snowfall, the Royal Armed Forces continue to perform their humanitarian and social role through the field military hospital established in the commune of Tounfite.
The establishment of this field hospital comes in implementation of the high instructions of King Mohammed VI, the Supreme Commander and Chief of Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, aimed at mobilizing all human and logistical capabilities to support the population affected by the difficult climatic conditions, and ensuring their right to access treatment and health care in the best conditions. The field hospital includes an integrated group of medical and surgical specializations, supported by significant human resources including medical and paramedical frameworks, in addition to a specialized technical staff, in addition to elements from the social services of the Royal Armed Forces and the supply unit of the Fourth Supply Regiment of the military garrison in Casablanca. This health facility provides comprehensive medical services in several specializations, including anesthesia and resuscitation, ophthalmology, ear, nose and throat, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, general surgery, and dentistry, as well as emergency medicine, which operates 24 hours a day without interruption. The hospital also has a medical analysis laboratory, an X-ray room, and a complete pharmacy, in addition to a resuscitation room, a surgery room, and two hospitalization rooms dedicated to men and women, and a special surgical wing that ensures the care of cases before, during and after surgical interventions. The field military hospital receives patients from remote and difficult-to-access areas, with an established protocol for taking care of patients, starting with reception and guidance to the appropriate specialization, passing through medical and social accompaniment, consultations, providing medications, and performing surgical operations when necessary. A number of beneficiaries of the services of this hospital, in separate statements, have expressed their great satisfaction with the quality of the medical services provided and the speed of care, praising the availability of various specializations and medicines in a place close to their residences, which has relieved them of the burden of travel in light of the harsh climatic conditions. This initiative falls within the context of a series of field interventions carried out by the Royal Armed Forces, in coordination with the local authorities and relevant services, in order to provide health and humanitarian support to the affected population, which clearly embodies the noble social and humanitarian role played by this national institution.
