The General Directorate of Meteorology reported that the general weather condition will be characterized today, Saturday, by locally significant snowfall over the peaks of the Atlas, Rif, and Eastern High Plateaus starting from 1200 meters.
Rain and thunderstorms will be observed over Tangier, Loukkos, the Rif, the Mediterranean coast, the north of the Eastern region, the Sais region, the High and Middle Atlas, the western plains, the west, and the northern and central Atlantic plains. The sky will be partly cloudy and will bring weak and scattered rain to the south of the Eastern region and the northwest of the Saharan provinces of the Kingdom. Strong winds are expected in the Atlantic plains, Tangier region, the Mediterranean coast, the Rif, the Atlas Mountains and its surrounding areas, Sais, the phosphate and diamond plateaus, the Eastern region, and the Saharan provinces, with local sandstorms in the southeast, south of the Eastern region, and the Saharan provinces. The weather will remain relatively cold to cold in the Atlas Mountains, the Rif, and the Eastern High Plateaus. Minimum temperatures will range between minus 07 and minus 02 degrees in the High and Middle Atlas, between minus 01 and 04 degrees in the Small Atlas, the Rif, and the Eastern High Plateaus, between 10 and 14 degrees in the south of the country and the extreme southeast and near the coasts, and will be between 05 and 09 degrees in the rest of the Kingdom. Daytime temperatures will decrease in most regions of the Kingdom. The sea will be slightly rough to rough in the west, and very rough to strong in the east on the Mediterranean coast, very rough to very strong in the Strait of Gibraltar, very strong to dangerous north of Tan-Tan, strong to very strong between Tan-Tan and Tarfaya, and rough to strong south of Tarfaya.
