HIBAPRESS – Rabat
The Popular Bank Foundation has completed the installation of water heaters at the Dar Taliba of Oulad Nawal in the Khnichat commune, belonging to the Sidi Kacem province. This initiative falls within the framework of the program launched by the Foundation in 2018, which aims to equip female and male student residences with solar water heaters, with the goal of sustainably improving accommodation conditions, especially during the winter season.
This program, which was gradually implemented nationwide between 2018 and 2024, has enabled the equipping of 36 institutions, benefiting a total of 3,025 students. In 2025, the Popular Bank Foundation moved to a new phase by equipping 9 student residences belonging to the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region, distributed across the provinces of Sidi Kacem, Khémisset, and Kenitra. This operation contributed to improving the living conditions of an additional 522 students, bringing the number of beneficiary institutions since the program's launch to 45. Through this initiative, the Popular Bank Foundation renews its commitment to supporting equal opportunities, promoting education, and combating school dropout, believing that every social initiative contributes to building a more just, inclusive, and open society for the benefit of future generations.
