Morocco at the PARIS 2024 Olympic Games/Golf: Biography of Champion Inès LAKLALECH

Golf champion Inès LAKLALECH has qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
This is the third consecutive qualification for Moroccan golf at the Olympic Games after the Rio Games in 2016 and Tokyo in 2020.
Biography:
Born in 1997 in Casablanca, Inès discovered golf in 2008. Quickly passionate about this sport to which she devoted herself, she joined the Moroccan women’s national team at the age of 12. Since then, Inès has represented her country on several occasions, notably at the Arab Championships, African Championships and the World Amateur Championships.
In 2016, the young Casablanca native joined Wake Forest University in the United States (2015-2016) and joined the university golf team before continuing her academic studies in the English system at University College London in Management Science.
Upon graduating in 2019, Inès decided to pursue her dream again, which is to shine on the major world circuits by winning tournaments, while raising the Moroccan flag.
In December 2021, thanks to a great performance in the Ladies European Tour (LET) Qualifiers, she won the best category which gave her access to all the tournaments on the major European circuit.
In 2022 Ines made history in Moroccan golf by signing the first Arab and North African victory on one of the most important women’s circuits in the world. The Ladies European Tour. Following this victory, Ines continued her results and exploits and won a full category on the LPGA, a first for an Arab player.
