HIBAPRESS – Guercif
A strong sandstorm, on the morning of Wednesday, January 28, caused a truck loaded with hay to overturn on national road number 15 linking the cities of Guercif and Saka, without, according to initial data, any injuries or loss of life being recorded.
Photos and video clips showed that the sudden sandstorm led to an almost complete obstruction of visibility, which disrupted traffic and forced a number of drivers to stop on the side of the road to avoid any potential accidents, at a time when the truck driver lost control of the steering wheel, causing the truck to overturn on the side of the road. The same sources added that the poor visibility resulting from the thick dust also resulted in a collision between two vehicles in the "Khelis" area of the same road axis, which necessitated the intervention of the concerned authorities to regulate traffic and ensure the safety of road users.
