The heavy rainfall experienced by the Wazzan province has caused cracks and fissures to appear in a number of road sections, raising concerns among road users about traffic safety.
Regional Road No. 408, linking Wazzan and Mjaara, near Bab Al-Mahaj, recorded clear damage, consisting of deep cracks and partial collapse in the road infrastructure, which worsened due to the continued rains, posing a risk of further collapses, especially with the heavy traffic and poor visibility at night. The Wazzan-Masmoda axis towards Rabat also witnessed similar damage, prompting local actors to demand the competent authorities intervene urgently to repair the damaged sections, while calling on drivers to exercise caution and reduce speed to avoid any potential accidents.
