Local authorities in the city of Ksar El Kebir have taken a series of proactive measures after the rise in the water level of the Loukkos River and the filling of the Wadi al-Makhazin dam, in order to reduce the risks of floods and protect residents and their property.
These measures included a traffic ban to many neighborhoods that were classified as threatened areas, after they were completely evacuated from residents, with barriers temporarily preventing entry. These measures aim to protect families who have left their homes from potential risks and ensure the safety of their property. The authorities confirmed that these precautionary steps are part of a comprehensive plan to deal with floods, with continuous monitoring of the situation, and taking any additional measures if necessary, to protect the lives and safety of citizens.
