Surveillance cameras installed in several centers and commercial stores in the city of Salé have revealed the identity of those involved in the acts of looting and vandalism that coincided with the recent protests, where moments of intrusion and looting targeting mainly foodstuff stores were documented.
The security services have launched their field investigations, relying on surveillance camera recordings and fingerprinting techniques to identify the perpetrators, where a number of people suspected of participating in these criminal acts have been arrested, while investigations are still ongoing to arrest the rest of the perpetrators. The security services continue arrest campaigns to ensure the return of security and the protection of public and private property, at a time when local activities condemned what they described as the "criminal exploitation" of events by some vandals.
