The Italian gendarmerie (Carabinieri) of the town of Bassano del Grappa, province of Vicenza, Veneto region, has drawn the attention of justice to a 24-year-old Moroccan after he was involved in an incident of physical aggression against two Italian gendarmes in the same area while they were carrying out their duties.
According to well-informed sources, the incident occurred while the Italian gendarmes were carrying out their mission of maintaining public safety in one of the districts, “Tarcisio Frigo”, known for the growing phenomenon of aggression, disturbing passers-by and threatening them with punches and sharp weapons in order to rob them and steal everything they own, especially in deserted and uninhabited places.
Two police officers were injured, one in the right hand, while intervening to arrest a young Moroccan who was threatening them with physical liquidation.
The same source adds that the incident mobilized the various agencies of the Italian gendarmerie, which rushed to the scene and that the young Moroccan was arrested and taken to the center of the Italian gendarmerie to further the investigation, according to the instructions of the Attorney General of the Republic, while members of the Italian gendarmerie were transferred to the nearby hospital in order to receive first aid.
