HIBAPRESS – Mohamed Daher
The judicial police elements have just arrested the legal officer of a travel agency, suspected of being involved in a case of fraud that targeted dozens of Umrah pilgrims in the Red City.
According to private sources, the agency in question lured customers with tempting offers to perform Umrah rituals, in exchange for significant sums of money exceeding one hundred million centimes in total, on the basis of enabling them to obtain visas and airline tickets, in addition to taking care of reservations and internal travel. However, the victims, who numbered more than 300 people, were surprised by the agency's failure to fulfill its obligations, and found themselves facing false promises, after it refused to hand over the agreed-upon documents, before disappearing from view, which prompted them to file complaints with the competent authorities, which in turn moved to arrest those involved.
