Regarding ferry traffic, the Tangier Med port complex confirmed its pivotal role as a major logistics platform on the Mediterranean, which is mainly attributed to the increase in container ferry traffic (128.7 million tons / plus 14.4 percent, or 10.3 million containers / plus 7.9 percent).

As for imports, the statement adds, they stabilized at 77.6 million tons during 2025, an increase of 2.8 percent, compared to 2024, indicating that imports of the most important routes developed as follows: fuels (13.4 million tons / plus 3.9 percent) and coal (10.4 million tons / plus 7.3 percent), containers (13.5 million tons / plus 14.6 percent), international road transport (6.9 million tons / plus 7 percent), and grains (10.1 million tons / minus 4.5 percent), and sulfur (6.7 million tons / minus 18.2 percent).
