The judicial police of the Ait Melloul security district, in coordination with the National Territory Surveillance services, arrested on the morning of Sunday, February 8, a 46-year-old person with a criminal record, suspected of being linked to a criminal network active in the theft of shops and money transfer agencies.
The person concerned was arrested in the Al-Qal'ia area, near Ait Melloul, as part of ongoing investigations into a series of thefts that targeted the cities of Agadir, Inezgane, Ait Melloul, and Taroudant, in addition to a money transfer agency near Biougra, which is one of the cases documented by a circulating video. The search operations resulted in the seizure of sums of money and materials suspected of being from the proceeds of the theft, as well as seals, checkbooks, and clothing, in addition to a utility vehicle believed to have been used in this activity. The process of questioning the suspect revealed that he was the subject of 27 national search warrants, and he was placed under police custody pending a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution.
