The government council approved, on Thursday, April 23, draft decree No. 2.25.970 regarding the definition of the tasks of liaison judges and the procedure for their selection and appointment, presented by the Minister of Justice.
This draft decree comes within the framework of implementing the provisions of Article 81 of Organic Law No. 100.13 related to the Supreme Council of the Judicial Authority, as amended and supplemented. This draft decree falls within the context of the increasing importance that the institution of the liaison judge has come to assume in the field of enhancing judicial cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the foreign countries it accredits, facilitating the follow-up and implementation of international and technical cooperation programs, strengthening partnerships, and supporting openness and communication in various legal and comparative judicial fields, in addition to benefiting from best practices and experiences.
