HIBAPRESS – Ahmed Al-Musaed
The Association of Bathhouse Owners in Oujda has announced a comprehensive review of the prices of services offered in traditional bathhouses and public showers in the city. This increase officially came into effect starting today, Monday, February 9th.
This decision came after an extraordinary meeting held by the association's management office with sector professionals on Tuesday, January 27th. According to the statement issued by the association, this step is the result of the "difficult situation" experienced by the sector, referring to the increasing rise in management costs and energy materials, which made the price review a necessity to ensure the continuity of services. The association has set a detailed table that specifies prices according to the type of establishment and age group, as follows: Bathhouses with a facade: Adults: 20 dirhams, Children (from 3 to 9 years old): 10 dirhams. Showers (private bathhouses): The price was set at 25 dirhams. Neighborhood and outskirts bathhouses: A minimum price was set at no less than 17 dirhams. At the conclusion of its statement, the association addressed an appeal to all bathhouse owners in the city of Oujda, urging them to communicate directly and transparently with customers to explain the justifications for this increase, while at the same time announcing its commitment to improving the services provided to citizens in line with the new prices. It is worth noting that this decision may provoke mixed reactions among the city's residents, especially as it affects a vital and essential social facility in the daily culture of the Oujdi citizen, in light of an economic context characterized by a general rise in the cost of living.
