The Benslimane district, part of the Meriniyin district in the city of Fez, witnessed a state of alert this morning, Monday, after the discovery of a person's body in his home, under circumstances that are still mysterious.
According to preliminary data, neighbors noticed the emanation of foul odors from inside the apartment, which prompted them to notify the competent authorities. In response, elements of the National Security and local authorities arrived at the scene, where the apartment was stormed and the body was found in an advanced stage of decomposition. The body was transported to the morgue at the Regional Hospital of Ghassani to subject it to legal procedures, including a medical autopsy, which will accurately determine the cause of death. In this context, the security services have launched their investigations under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution, to reveal the circumstances of the incident and determine the conditions that led to the death, with a focus on collecting data and testimonies from neighbors and any evidence that may help clarify the incident. Local and security authorities confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, with an emphasis that the initial results will be announced upon completion of all the necessary legal procedures.
