Sadness enveloped the Al-Musalla neighborhood, belonging to the Jnane El Ouard district of Fez, after the discovery of the body of a man in his sixties inside his home, on the afternoon of Friday, February 20th, following the interruption of news about him from his social environment for several days.
According to the available data, the absence of the deceased raised concerns among his neighbors, prompting them to notify the competent authorities, who arrived at the scene to discover the body inside his residence in the "At-Tajamouti" complex, in a condition that indicates that the death was not recent. The security elements of the 27th security district, along with representatives of the local authority, moved to the scene of the incident, where the legal procedures in effect were taken, and the body of the deceased was transferred to the morgue at Al-Ghassani Hospital. Local sources reported that the deceased worked as a day laborer during his life and lived alone, adding that some neighbors suggested that the death may have resulted from health complications, especially since he suffered from chronic diseases. In this context, the competent security services opened a judicial investigation under the supervision of the Public Prosecution, in order to determine the circumstances of the death, pending the results of the medical examination, which will be relied upon to determine the precise cause of death, and to exclude or confirm any possible suspicion.
