The city of Meknes is witnessing continuous urban dynamism, recently embodied in the works that the Saadiyin Street has undergone, one of the vital road axes in the city, where the street appeared in a new look after the completion of the rehabilitation, asphalting, and improvement of public lighting.
These works included strengthening the road infrastructure and addressing sections that were suffering from clear deterioration and scattered potholes, which constituted a source of annoyance and danger to road users, both drivers and pedestrians alike. Public lighting was also adopted with modern standards, which contributed to improving night vision and enhancing road safety and security conditions. The GTR company is overseeing the implementation of this project, within the framework of respecting the approved technical standards, and at a work pace that aims to improve the quality of the urban space and respond to the aspirations of the region's population. These works have been widely appreciated by citizens, who have expressed their satisfaction with this positive transformation, considering that the rehabilitation of Saadiyin Street is an important step towards breaking the isolation of some neighborhoods and improving the fluidity of traffic, in addition to raising the aesthetics of the city. This project comes within a more comprehensive vision that aims to rehabilitate the road infrastructure in the city of Meknes, in line with the requirements of urban development and improving the quality of life, and at the same time reflects the keenness of the concerned authorities to respond to the demands of the population and enhance the city's attractiveness. It should be noted that these works are carried out under the direct field follow-up of Abdelghani Essabbar, the governor of the province, who is one of the administrative frameworks known for their competence and experience in managing territorial affairs, as he signed a distinguished professional path characterized by seriousness and effectiveness, and contributed tangibly to pushing the wheel of local development and improving the level of services and infrastructure in the city. The support and continuous follow-up of the Ministry of Interior is relied upon to make this workshop and other structured projects successful, within the framework of an approach based on good governance and linking responsibility to accountability. The governor of the province is also considered among the governors who enjoy high royal confidence, given his accumulated field experience and his commitment to serving the public interest and responding to the aspirations of the population.
