HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
The central services of the Ministry of Interior have directed strict instructions to the officials of Mohammedia province, requiring the need to increase the pace of settling urban violation files that were detected recently.
These directives come within the context of tightening control over the urban space and addressing all forms of illegal construction. According to available data, the list of violations includes random warehouses established around the city, especially in the Beni Yakhlef area, in addition to shantytowns and random shacks that have sprung up in a number of the province's municipalities at an accelerated pace, which raised concerns about the exacerbation of unauthorized construction. It is expected that these instructions will be accompanied by intensive field campaigns and administrative and legal measures against the violators, with a call to the local authorities to coordinate between the various stakeholders to ensure the strict application of the law. This step is also expected to contribute to reducing the manifestations of urban laxity and readjusting the urban scene in the province.
