As part of the monitoring operations of feed and veterinary drugs offered for sale, a local joint committee comprising the National Office of Food Safety (ONSSA) and local authorities, on Tuesday, February 24, managed to seize unlicensed veterinary drugs that were offered for sale at the weekly market in the city of Beni Mellal.
This operation resulted in the seizure of 20 bags of vitamins in addition to other drugs intended for poultry and various birds, which did not carry legal data or labeling identifying their source and components. The seized items have been placed at the disposal of the competent authorities, with legal measures being taken as is customary in such cases, within the framework of strengthening the monitoring of veterinary drug distribution chains and protecting the health of the herd and the safety of the consumer.
