The General Authority for Civil Aviation in Kuwait announced on Saturday the temporary closure of Kuwaiti airspace to aircraft and passengers, due to the surrounding political and security situations in the region.
The Authority confirmed that this decision comes as part of precautionary measures aimed at preserving the safety and security of passengers, airlines, and protecting operational procedures at Kuwait International Airport from any potential risks. Official spokesman for the authority, Abdullah Al-Rajhi, explained that the competent authorities are continuously monitoring developments around the clock, in coordination with relevant local and international parties, pointing out that any updates will be announced as soon as they become available.
