HIBAPRESS – WAM
The official spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Majid Al-Ansari, said that his country's reserves of interceptor missiles "have not been depleted at all," confirming that the media reports circulating about Qatar's air defense system are "incorrect."
Al-Ansari explained at a press conference today, Tuesday, that "the reserves of defensive missiles have not been depleted at all, and that the State of Qatar still maintains its full readiness, and that its reserves are sufficient to deal with the existing threat." The Qatari official pointed out that the Qatari armed forces dealt with all threats with high efficiency and without any real losses, praising "the bravery of the members of the armed forces who have proven the state's readiness and its ability to protect its citizens and residents on its land." The spokesperson stressed that the attacks that his country was subjected to "represent a clear violation of the red lines, and a direct attack on its lands and its civilian and vital facilities," confirming that it "will not pass without a response." Al-Ansari stated that "the targeting was not limited to military installations or American interests, but rather affected the lands of the state and vital Qatari areas and facilities, including sites in Mesaieed and Ras Laffan (energy facilities), which is unacceptable and cannot be justified, whatever the targeted party on Qatari lands." Regarding attempts to target Hamad International Airport, the spokesperson confirmed that all missiles and drones that attempted to attack the airport were shot down before reaching its land, and that the airport is completely safe, and all attempts to target it were thwarted. On the other hand, the Qatari official said that there is no contact with Iran, confirming that the statements issued by the Iranian Foreign Minister regarding the existence of prior notification to Doha before the attacks "are completely devoid of health," and that the State of Qatar "was surprised by these unjustified attacks."
