The Royal Army team achieved a valuable victory over its host, Wydad Athletic, with a score of (2-1), in the top match of the ninth round of the Moroccan professional league, in a match hosted by the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca.
The military team advanced in the 19th minute after an own goal scored by Wydad player Walid Sabbar in his own net, before the hosts equalized the score in the 28th minute through a powerful shot by Hakim Ziyech. In the second half, the Royal Army settled the match after Youssef Al-Fahli scored the winning goal in the 62nd minute following a quick counter-attack led by Zakaria Hadraf. With this victory, the Royal Army returned with the three points from Casablanca, raising its score to 25 points, in an exciting classic that once again confirmed the strength of the competition between the two teams.
