The Independent Union of Administrative and Technical Staff for Health and Social Protection in the city of Taza issued a statement in which it announced its absolute solidarity with the administration of Ibn Bajja Regional Hospital, against the backdrop of what it described as a campaign launched by a union against the health institution's administration.
The union explained in its statement that it is following with concern what it considered accusations and fallacies targeting the hospital administration and affecting the image of the institution and the reputation of its health and administrative staff. It affirmed in this context its full support for all the efforts made by the administration to improve the quality of health services and ensure the normal functioning of the public facility, in addition to maintaining administrative discipline within the institution. The union also denounced what it described as irresponsible methods that rely, according to the statement, on spreading claims that do not serve the interest of the health workers or the patients, considering that such practices would create confusion and disruption to the work of the institution in circumstances that require concerted efforts and a spirit of responsibility. The union affirmed that a health institution of the size and importance of Ibn Bajja Regional Hospital needs the support of all stakeholders, far from narrow calculations or bids that may negatively affect the stability of work and the quality of services provided to citizens. The union renewed its full support for the hospital administration in various reform and organizational initiatives, while calling for the language of responsible and constructive dialogue to prevail instead of unjustified escalation, and stressing that the interest of patients and employees must remain above all else. At the end of its statement, the union called on the various health and administrative staff to rally around their institution and work as a team, in a way that serves the health facility and meets the expectations of the population of the Taza region.
