The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced the rescheduling of the TotalEnergies Women's Africa Cup of Nations 2026, which will be held in Morocco, to take place between July 25 and August 16, 2026.
CAF had granted the Kingdom of Morocco the honor of organizing this continental tournament in October 2024, which was initially scheduled between March 17 and April 3, 2026. The African football body clarified that after consultations with its partners, headed by the International Federation of Football (FIFA), in addition to the various concerned parties, it was decided to adjust the date of the tournament to ensure the success of this important women's competition, in light of some unexpected circumstances. CAF confirmed that preparations for the Women's Africa Cup of Nations 2026 are ongoing, with the confidence of all parties in the success of this anticipated edition of the tournament.
