HIBAPRESS – Rabat
Fouzi Lekjaa, president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, confirmed that the issue of the future of the technical staff of the national team is not related to specific names, but rather is subject to a comprehensive institutional vision that frames the management of national football.
Lekjaa explained that talking about the continuation of coach Walid Regragui or the possibility of assigning the task to Mohamed Wahbi during the upcoming events, including the World Cup, falls within this framework, which places the interest of the national team and the continuity of the football project at the heart of the priorities. Lekjaa's statements came during the weekly press conference that followed the government council meeting, where he highlighted that Moroccan football has become strongly present in major international competitions, which requires maintaining the same dynamism it has achieved in recent years. Lekjaa added that the challenge today is to continue working with the same approach to ensure the continuity of positive results and consolidate Morocco's position on the global football stage. *Photo from the archive*
