HIBAPRESS – I. Al-Samlali
The Moroccan artistic community bid farewell to national coach Walid Regragui, who closed an exceptional chapter in the history of national football after years of giving that resonated globally.
This official farewell, which preceded the presentation of the new coach Mohamed Wahbi, did not go unnoticed by Moroccan stars, but rather turned into a digital love demonstration across social media platforms. Regragui chose to bid farewell to his audience and fans in a cinematic and touching way, through a short video clip in which he borrowed the spirit of "Gladiator" with its epic music, to summarize in two minutes a journey of struggle that began with a dream and ended with writing history, showcasing the most prominent moments he lived with the Atlas Lions, moments that made artists compete to express their gratitude with heartfelt words, describing him as historical, a friend, and a coach who raised the ceiling of Moroccan ambition to the heavens. The artists' messages varied between concise phrases that carry deep meanings, and emotional readings that analyze the bitterness of farewell, where the artist Karima Ghait agreed that Regragui had truly "left his mark on history," while the artist Aminux described him as "the great friend," and words of thanks followed from Rachid Al-Idrissi and Rabie Sakkali, confirming the strong bonds that brought the coach together with all segments of the Moroccan people. For his part, the comedian Osama Ramzi presented a reading mixed with sadness and realism, pointing out that football is decided by simple details and nuances that were sufficient to change the course of the story completely, considering that Regragui's experience will remain inspiring despite the harsh disappointments that the game is not without, and stressing that the audience lived a completely different story with Walid than before. As much as the farewell was touching, the artists' wishes for the new coach Mohamed Wahbi and for the future were filled with hope, in anticipation of achieving the long-awaited football dream, while the "Ras Lavoca" remains a landmark in the memory of Moroccans.
