HIBAPRESS – A. Muhyawi
Last night, Friday, around midnight, Green March Street in the city of Kenitra witnessed a traffic accident that resulted in the collapse of a road signpost after an unknown car collided with it, before its driver left the scene immediately after the accident.
The accident occurred near Mohammed V High School and the Al Massira 2 University neighborhood, where identical data indicated that a car was speeding on the aforementioned street and collided with the road signpost, which led to its falling to the ground and causing damage to it. The scene attracted the attention of a number of passersby and road users, especially since the driver who caused the accident left the scene without stopping or notifying the competent authorities, which left a state of astonishment among some citizens who witnessed the incident. The signpost remained lying on the ground after the accident, which may pose a danger to road users, especially during night hours and with poor visibility, which requires rapid intervention to re-install it and secure traffic in the area. It is expected that the local authorities and the competent technical services will intervene to inspect the damage and repair the damaged signpost, in addition to opening an investigation to identify the identity of the car that caused the accident, especially in light of whether the streets of Kenitra have surveillance cameras that may help in uncovering the circumstances of the incident.
