The Sattat security directorate confirmed that the woman who appeared in the video circulating on social media, which its promoters claimed documented an attempt to lure and kidnap a girl in the city of Berrechid, has been suffering from a mental illness for more than 15 years, clarifying that the investigations launched by the security services showed that the incident does not have any criminal nature.
A statement by the Sattat security directorate stated that the judicial police squad in the regional security zone in the city of Berrechid opened a judicial investigation following the spread of the video, in order to verify the veracity of the circulated claims. The investigations revealed that the national security services did not receive any complaint, report, or notification via the telephone line "19" regarding this incident. The investigations also enabled the identification of all the people who appeared in the video, including the minor girl who published it on a social media platform. The minor girl who carried out the publication was placed under supervision, while the two women who filmed and edited the video were subjected to custody, pending the investigation being conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, to reveal all the circumstances and details of this case.
