The case of the drugs seized in front of the regional headquarters for the control of national territory protection in Marrakech, which resulted in the seizure of 150 kilograms, has turned into a snowball effect. This follows investigations launched by the anti-gang unit of the Marrakech security directorate, which, based on technical expertise, led to the arrest of suspects who were subjected to in-depth investigations that revealed a shocking surprise.
According to sources from the newspaper, the investigations revealed the involvement of a police officer working at Marrakech Menara International Airport in the activity of the network specialized in international drug smuggling. The investigators, after consulting the Public Prosecutor's Office, quickly arrested the police officer, and he was placed under custody. The same sources confirmed that the number of those arrested in connection with the case has reached four people so far. They were presented yesterday, Monday, to the representative of the Public Prosecutor's Office, who decided to extend the period of custody in order to deepen the investigation until the investigations are completed and all the threads of this case are untangled. It is expected that everyone will be presented before the Public Prosecutor's Office in the Marrakech primary court this Tuesday morning to issue the indictment.
