HIBAPRESS – Marrakech: Mohamed Daher
Throughout Tuesday, the representative of the Public Prosecution at the Marrakech Court of First Instance studied the preliminary investigation reports prepared by the Provincial Judicial Police in Marrakech, which referred six detainees to the attention of the Public Prosecutor: a security man working at Marrakech Menara International Airport, a citizen holding French citizenship, a Moroccan immigrant abroad, a woman, and two other people.
After reviewing the contents of the reports and questioning the detainees, the King's Prosecutor decided to prosecute five members of the network on charges of forming a gang and international drug trafficking, while the security man was prosecuted on charges of participating in international drug trafficking and participating in facilitating and transporting drugs. The representative of the Public Prosecution also decided to refer the entire file to the attention of the investigating judge, at the same court, who heard the six detainees on the same day and ordered their detention in Al-Odaya prison, setting the date of the 30th of this month as the date for a detailed hearing. It is worth noting that the investigations are still ongoing by the judicial police, in order to uncover all the parties involved within the members of the network and present them to justice.
