The Ouled Oujih district in Kenitra witnessed a tragic incident on the first day of Eid al-Fitr, which shook the feelings of the residents, after a sudden dispute between two workers inside a bakery ended in a deadly crime.
According to consistent data, a conflict broke out between two young men working in the same shop, before it quickly developed into a serious assault using a sharp tool, resulting in the death of one of them on the spot, due to the injuries he sustained. Upon receiving a notification about the incident, elements of the National Security moved to the scene, accompanied by the scientific and technical police, where they began inspection procedures and collected evidence, while imposing a security cordon to secure the place and organize the search operation. A judicial investigation was also opened under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution, with the aim of determining the circumstances of the incident and revealing the background of this dispute, while efforts continue to determine the location of the suspect and arrest him. This incident left an atmosphere of sadness and shock among the residents, especially as it coincided with a religious occasion that is supposed to be dominated by calm and compassion, which increased the impact of the shock on the citizens. The results of the expected judicial investigation remain decisive in clarifying the details of this case and determining responsibilities, at a time when the discussion is renewed about the causes of the escalation of such incidents and ways to reduce them.
