HIBAPRESS – Abdel Latif Baraka
The Provincial Council of Ouarzazate, during an extraordinary session held at the end of last week at the province's headquarters, approved a package of partnership agreements and development projects aimed at strengthening infrastructure and improving services provided to the population.
The session's proceedings were chaired by Abdel Latif Aafir, in the presence of the province's governor, Abdellah Jahid, and a number of officials and representatives of the relevant departments.
The most prominent projects included the valorization of oases and their protection from fires, the establishment of a football stadium in the city of Ouarzazate, its renovation and equipping, and the completion of procedures related to the construction of a morgue.
The council also approved agreements concerning the equipping of the "Dar Al-Talib" (student's house) in Bouarmane, strengthening mechanisms to alleviate the isolation of affected areas, and supporting school transport, in addition to appointing a representative of the council to the Inter-municipal Group of Territorial Collectivities for Development in Transport.
Financially, council members agreed to transfer credits from the 2026 budget to adapt the distribution of resources to the identified needs. These decisions are part of efforts to support local development and improve basic facilities and services, while the implementation of projects within the specified deadlines remains a crucial factor in ensuring their positive impact on the daily lives of the province's residents.
