A Royal Gendarmerie element was forced to fire a shot into the air at a critical moment, shortly before noon today, Tuesday, in order to disperse a group of citizens in the Sidi Aissa Ben Slimane commune in the Kalaat Sraghna province, after the commander of the Royal Gendarmerie company was seriously injured in the head during his field intervention.
The details of the incident go back to when the Sidi Aissa Ibn Ismail commune in the Kalaat Sraghna province turned into a scene of tension and resentment, as a result of the implementation of a judicial decision to open a road towards a quarry for breaking stones owned by a parliamentarian, which caused an outbreak of chaos and direct friction between the protesters and the Royal Gendarmerie elements.
The commander of the Royal Gendarmerie company was also quickly transferred to the emergency room of the Al-Salama Hospital in Kalaat Sraghna, in order to receive the necessary first aid, while the Public Prosecution opened an investigation into the real causes behind the clashes between the citizens and the gendarmerie, and revealed the real causes of the incident.
