HIBAPRESS – Jerrada
The newspaper learned from informed sources that the security services carried out on Thursday, March 26, two security operations within the framework of the ongoing campaign to combat drugs, which began several months ago, under the supervision of the head of the regional security area in Jerrada and the head of the judicial police department, in the context of efforts to dry up the sources of illegal trade in narcotic substances.
The first operation, which was described as precise, resulted in the arrest of a commercial shop operator in the Al-Nakd neighborhood inside the covered market, after investigations revealed his involvement in drug trafficking. The search operation resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of hashish that was prepared for sale, in addition to tools suspected of being used in promotion. As for the second operation, which was considered more important in terms of method and results, it was carried out after a precise tracking operation and a tight field monitoring, which ended with a successful ambush next to the weekly market, which resulted in the arrest of a car driver known as "Al-Mokatileh" that was used in trafficking in hallucinogenic pills and hard drugs. Initial data showed that the detainee had a criminal record and was the subject of a national search warrant. The operation also resulted in the seizure of the car used, a large quantity of hallucinogenic pills, in addition to cocaine powder, hashish, and a number of mobile phones that are likely to be used in criminal activities. The suspects have been placed in custody under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution, in order to deepen the investigation and uncover the remaining possible extensions of these criminal activities, at a time when the security services confirm their determination to continue these campaigns without respite.
