The National Rally of Independents party announced the appointment of parliamentarian Yassine Akacha as the head of the party's parliamentary group in the House of Representatives, succeeding Mohamed Chouki, who was elected to succeed Aziz Akhannouch at the head of the party.
This appointment comes in the context of reorganizing responsibilities within the party, where Mohamed Chouki had been heading the group since April 2024, succeeding Mohamed Ghiat, before being chosen to lead the party in a new phase. It is expected that Akacha will continue to lead the liberal parliamentary group during the next phase, in light of legislative and political challenges that impose a strong presence within the legislative institution, especially with the continued implementation of a number of government projects.
