On Thursday, March 26, 2026, the Governor of Al Hoceima presided over a working meeting at the prefecture headquarters, dedicated to following up on the progress of the works at the Ait Kamra University Complex, within the framework of monitoring this strategic academic project.
The meeting was attended by the university president, accompanied by an official delegation, along with representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, including the Director of Budget and Financial Affairs and the Head of the Logistics and Properties Department, as well as representatives of the local authorities and various stakeholders involved in the project. During the meeting, the Governor emphasized the need to intensify efforts and accelerate the pace of work, while ensuring compliance with the specified deadlines, to ensure the successful completion of this project in the best conditions. For his part, the university president highlighted the strategic importance of the Ait Kamra University Complex, as a key driver for expanding the pedagogical offer and enhancing the attractiveness of the university, stressing the need to mobilize all actors to make this project a success. The visit also provided an opportunity to assess the various components of the project in the field and evaluate the progress of the works, where it was confirmed to continue coordination and joint work to overcome the constraints raised. In a related context, on March 27, the university president made a field visit to the National School of Applied Sciences and the Faculty of Science and Technology in Al Hoceima, where he held meetings with a number of professors and administrative and technical staff. During these meetings, the efforts made by the various components of the university family to improve the quality of training and raise scientific production were commended. The challenges facing the two institutions were also addressed, with emphasis on the need to strengthen cooperation and collective mobilization to create the appropriate conditions, ensuring the successful opening of the expected university institutions within the Ait Kamra University Complex, and supporting the academic and scientific dynamics in the region, in line with the major strategic orientations known by the Kingdom.
