The Court of Appeal in Tangier issued a verdict on Tuesday/Wednesday midnight, sentencing the mother of “Adam Benchkroun” and “Molinex” to six years in prison each, in addition to a fine of 100,000 dirhams, with a ban from using social media for ten years, and the closure of all their accounts.
The trial session witnessed remarkable developments, as the judge questioned “Molinex” about the circumstances of his first acquaintance with Adam Benchkroun. The person concerned explained that he met him inside a nightclub in Tangier, before they went to the nightclub's restroom, where they engaged in prostitution and documented that in a video that sparked widespread controversy at the time. Regarding the video, "Molinex" confirmed that it was filmed on Benchkroun's phone, while the latter indicated that the filming was at the request of "Molinex". Benchkroun also revealed that a second meeting brought them together in Marrakech, where he was taken inside the back of a car, before heading to a tourist park, where people from the Gulf countries were waiting for them as part of practices related to prostitution. During the session, the judge confronted Benchkroun's mother with data indicating that she had received financial transfers from pornographic sites, but she categorically denied any relationship to those transactions, confirming her ignorance of their source. In contrast, data from the judicial police revealed, after emptying her mobile phone, the existence of contacts between her and a woman named “Sofia Talouni”, which raised additional questions during the trial. In a subsequent development, Adam Benchkroun admitted that he was using his mother's bank account in these operations, denying any direct involvement in the case.
