Ajax, the Dutch club, has signed its first professional contract with the rising Moroccan player, Marouane Bentaleb.
The contract will come into effect starting next summer and extends until June 30, 2029, thus confirming Ajax's bet on developing a new talent within its ranks. Bentaleb, who is 16 years old, is considered one of the most prominent rising talents in the Morocco national under-17 football team, where he attracted attention during his recent participation in the North African Championship. He delivered distinguished performances, the most prominent of which was his decisive contribution to the victory over the Egypt national under-17 football team with a crucial assist. The player is characterized by his tactical flexibility, as he occupies the positions of midfield and defense, in addition to his ability to win the ball and build attacks, which made him the focus of attention of several European clubs before Ajax succeeded in finalizing the deal. Bentaleb previously played for Sparta Rotterdam before moving to Ajax, where he continued to develop and convinced the technical staff of his abilities, earning him his first professional contract in his football career.
