The elements of the judicial police department in the city of Meknes were able, yesterday evening, Wednesday, April 1st, to arrest a doctor and a receptionist at a private clinic, on suspicion of their involvement in a case related to the promotion of drugs and pharmaceutical substances smuggled that would harm the health of citizens.
The police services in the city of Meknes had previously arrested two people during the month of March, who were caught red-handed possessing and promoting smuggled medical pills on social media, claiming that they were used to facilitate abortions, where they were referred to justice after they were subjected to a judicial investigation that was carried out under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution. The technical investigations and field investigations in this case resulted in the identification of two women suspected of participating in this criminal activity, a doctor and her receptionist in her private clinic, where they were arrested while committing the same criminal acts, during a security operation that was carried out yesterday, Wednesday, in the city of Tiflet. The seizure and inspection operations carried out in this case led to the discovery of two mobile phones in the possession of the suspects, which are suspected of containing digital traces of this criminal activity, in addition to a quantity of various medicines, medical condoms, and sexually stimulating pills, as well as a sum of money from the proceeds of committing these criminal acts. The suspects have been detained under the custody measure pending the judicial investigation that is being carried out under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution, in order to reveal all the circumstances and details of this case, as well as to determine all the criminal acts attributed to the persons concerned.
