HIBAPRESS – A. Muhyawi
Kenitra has been witnessing an unprecedented urban dynamic in recent months, with the acceleration of work in a number of major projects that have clearly changed the city's features, both at its main entrances and within its urban fabric.
In the various neighborhoods of the city, the operations of preparing and expanding roads continue, along with the rehabilitation of sidewalks and the improvement of infrastructure, which reflects a trend towards enhancing the city's attractiveness and improving the quality of life for its residents. Kenitra's entrances are also seeing the completion of major roundabouts aimed at organizing traffic and alleviating traffic congestion, especially at points that used to experience daily pressure.
These field transformations have not gone unnoticed by local public opinion, as citizens have begun to widely discuss the size of the changes the city is witnessing, considering that these projects reflect a clear development vision based on field follow-up and efficiency in implementation.
A number of observers agree that this dynamic is linked to the management style adopted by the governor of the region, Abdelhamid El Mezide, who has accumulated significant field experience and is known for his close proximity to the projects and his direct follow-up, which has contributed to accelerating the pace of implementation and ensuring adherence to the deadlines set.
While awaiting the completion of these projects, local actors are betting that these improvements will contribute to strengthening Kenitra's position as a rising urban and economic hub, capable of attracting more investments, and providing a more organized urban environment that is responsive to the aspirations of the residents.
