HIBAPRESS – Tangier
The National Health Syndicate, under the umbrella of the Democratic Confederation of Labour, has decided to postpone the national protest program scheduled for early April, following a tripartite meeting that brought together representatives from the Ministry of Health, the administration of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima Regional Health Group, and the unions.
The meeting, which aimed to contain the tension within the sector, led to agreements described as positive, the most prominent of which was the acceleration of settling administrative and financial files related to promotions, and the disbursement of guard allowances according to a unified formula that will be framed by an official text, with retroactive effect including health professionals in the concerned institutions. In addition, it was agreed to activate and organize transitional mobility within and outside the region in accordance with agreed-upon regulations, as well as to commit to holding periodic meetings to strengthen social dialogue and address the issues raised on a regular basis. This postponement comes as a sign of a phased breakthrough, pending the implementation of the agreed-upon commitments on the ground.
