HIBAPRESS – Follow-up
The Israeli army announced on Sunday the killing of a new prominent leader in the "Oil Headquarters" belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, within the framework of escalating reciprocal strikes.
The army explained in an official statement that Mohammad Reza Ashrafi Kahi, the official in charge of commercial affairs within this apparatus, was killed on Friday during air raids targeting the outskirts of Tehran. The same source indicated that the "Oil Headquarters" plays a pivotal role in financing the activities of the Revolutionary Guard and enhancing its military capabilities, as well as supporting its allies in the region, including Hezbollah and the Houthis, through oil sales revenue. The Israeli army had announced, days earlier, the killing of the commander of this apparatus belonging to the Iranian armed forces, who performs a similar function within the Iranian regular army. The army described the killing of Kahi as "an additional strong blow to the economic structure of the Iranian security apparatus." In contrast, on the Israeli domestic front, the authorities reported that an Iranian missile had targeted a residential building in the city of Haifa in the north of the country, resulting in the injury of four people. The army confirmed that the building was directly hit by an Iranian missile, while the "Magen David Adom" ambulance service announced that among the injured was an 82-year-old man in serious condition, in addition to three minor injuries to two women and a 10-year-old child.
