HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
Oued El Maleh, near Mohammedia, witnessed unprecedented overcrowding during the weekend, as large numbers of visitors arrived from neighboring cities, causing traffic congestion and widespread chaos on the roads and routes leading to the area.
This heavy influx led to the obstruction of traffic, especially with the random spread of cars and motorcycles, and the use of the roadside for stopping, in the absence of a tight organization to keep pace with this large flow of users seeking a natural outlet. In the face of this situation, elements of the Royal Gendarmerie intervened to organize traffic and work to free the road from chaos, where they began operations to seize cars that obstruct traffic and transport them via "depannage" trucks to the municipal impound to facilitate the smooth flow of traffic and restore order, in an attempt to reduce the congestion experienced by the area during peak periods.
