HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
Several residents of the Beni Yakhlef areas in the city of Mohammedia expressed their dissatisfaction with what they described as the elected officials and authorities' neglect of their daily problems, considering that the attention they receive is only related to election dates, in the absence of tangible interventions to improve infrastructure conditions.
The residents of the Janan Zeitoun, Diyar Al-Aalia, Basateen Al-Ferdous and Lahlou residential areas complain about the deteriorating situation of the roads, where a number of streets have turned into paths full of potholes, making movement within these neighborhoods difficult, for drivers and pedestrians alike.
The Janan Zeitoun and Diyar Al-Aalia areas are the most affected, according to the residents' testimonies, as passing through some of the main streets has become almost impossible due to the large potholes that impede traffic and pose risks to road users, amid demands for urgent intervention to repair these roads and improve living conditions in the region.
