In accordance with the provisions of Article 148 of the Constitution, the Parliament, in its two chambers, held a joint public session today dedicated to presenting a presentation by Zineb El Adoui, the First President of the Supreme Council of Accounts, regarding the Council's work for the years 2024-2025. El Adoui revealed that the Minister of Interior referred 27 disciplinary requests to the financial courts, within the framework of activating control mechanisms and linking responsibility to accountability.
The First President of the Supreme Council of Accounts explained that these referrals fall within the competencies granted to the financial courts and aim to address irregularities related to the management of public affairs, stressing that this path reflects the state's seriousness in dealing with files of mismanagement of public funds and respecting the legal procedures in force. El Adoui confirmed that the increasing number of referrals indicates the strengthening of coordination between the Ministry of Interior and the financial courts, and the pivotal role played by the latter in promoting public life and protecting public funds, in harmony with the requirements of good governance and citizens' confidence in institutions.
